6 Questions to Ask When Renting a Tent
Planning any event is challenging because there’s so much to consider and so much you can’t control, like the weather. So you’ve made a wise decision to rent a tent for your outdoor event. 1. How many guests can you expect?
Review your guest list and count the responses you’ve received so far. On average — and unfortunately this is true more often than not — 20 to 30 percent of the people you invite will not show up.
The number of seats you provide also depends on the type of event you’re hosting. For example, your wedding reception may not require a seat for every guest. You may opt for a combination of mingling and seating. At an open house meet-and-greet, more people may be milling around. You need space to accommodate everyone.
The size of the tent, the kind of tables you order and the seating arrangement all depend on the number of people you expect to attend, so get as close to accurate as you can.

Make an accurate measurement of the space for your event. The space must be large enough to accommodate the tent you’re ordering. For example, if you decide on a 30x45-foot tent, you need at least 40x55 feet of unobstructed property on which to place the tent.
