Grand Opening in Flat Rock

After years of working out of a warehouse, Hendersonville Tents finally has a storefront operation where they can showcase the wide variety of options and accessories they can provide for your event. And boy are they excited about it.

“More and more brides want to touch and feel the linens, flatware and dishes that will be used for their receptions,” says owner Stacy Bishop. “Now they can come and choose their furniture and accessories and really picture the event as it will be for them.”

Showroom Shows Off the Flair

Just because your wedding reception, graduation party or business event is held outdoors under a tent, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be formal. But sometimes it’s difficult to imagine what it might look like. In the new location for the party and event rental company, just off I-26 exit 53, you can sit at a table set up with fine dining service to feel the sturdiness of the chairs and the quality of the linens.

The space at 578 Upward Road in Flat Rock brings Hendersonville Tents to life. A big field in front of the strip mall storefront is suitable for setting up a tent — for show or for sampling. Occasionally, you’ll see a tent set up on the right after exiting the highway.

And you can expect to be comfortable as you sift through the wide range of options from which you can choose. Inside, the office is as beautiful as it is functional.

Grand Grand Opening

On January 15, Hendersonville Tents held its big grand opening celebration. Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce members, local business neighbors, friends and supporters stopped by the evening reception that included a barbecue spread, sweet tea and prize drawings. Guests were invited to take photos in the new “Selfie Booth” that Hendersonville Tents recently acquired.

The grand opening marks a milestone in the 30-year-old company’s history. “The momentum has really pushed us to this point,” Bishop said. “This was a move we needed to make. This will allow us to better serve our customers.”

Added Perks

Stacy Bishop, who runs the office, while husband Steven runs the crews and does much of the on-site supervision, now can work out of an office that features most of the furniture and accessories available for rent. She’ll be on hand when customers prefer to save on a delivery charge and want to pick up rented items themselves.

The space is big enough to host Chamber of Commerce and other community events. The move is just a symptom of the growth seen around Western North Carolina, of which Hendersonville Tents is proud to a part.
